Keyboard is widely use and most common input device.keyboard is like a typewriter. keyboard enables user to enter data into a computer.

The keys found on computer keyboards are classified as follows:
Alphanumeric keys: The letters and numbers on the keyboard.
Punctuation keys: The comma, period, semicolon, and similiar keys.
Special keys: This includes the function keys , control keys, arrow keys , caps Lock key , and so on.
Keypads
Keypads are assembled in a matrix form.
In the default state (all switches open) there is no connection between the rows and columns. When a
switch is pressed a connection between the switch’s row and the switch’s column is made.
Types of keyboard
Qwerty: combination of layout of letters, numbers, and punctuation is known as a QWERTY keyboard.It is termed so as six keys on the top row spell QWERTY.It is designed for slow typists.
AZERTY:It is designed to increase the speed of typists.
DVORAK:It is designed in such a way that middle row consist common letters.It is also designed to increase the speed of typists..

AT(ENCHANCED) KEYBOARD: This key consist of 101keys
The three differ in the placement of function keys, the Control key, the Return key , and the Shift keys.

Page Up , Page Down , Home, End, Insert, Pause , Num Lock,
Scroll Lock , Break, Caps Lock, Print Screen.
